About Sarah

Sarah Floyd, Licensed Massage Therapist - Florida # MA94811, completed Massage Therapy training at the Ashland Institute of Massage in Ashland, Oregon in 2017.  

During adolescence, Sarah suffered multiple sports-related knee injuries that required extensive Physical Therapy and surgical reconstructions.  It was during this time that she was introduced to Massage Therapy.   

Over the years, she has experienced profound physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual relief through bodywork.  These cumulative effects led her to pursue professional studies in  therapeutic modalities including Massage Therapy and Nursing.  

In August 2020, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida where she earned honorable mentions for outstanding academic achievement and clinical performance.  As an RN, LMT, former athlete, gymnastics and Pilates instructor, she possesses a strong working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathophysiology and other life sciences.   

Sarah often collaborates and trains with other therapists, healthcare professionals, athletes and athletic trainers. Her goal is to provide high-quality bodywork that imparts the all-encompassing, restorative benefits of Massage Therapy with others.

Specialties include Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage for which she incorporates Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Trigger Point Therapy and Aromatherapy.

Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from Florida State University in International Relations, and certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS), Acute Care Life Support (ACLS), Pilates Instruction, and Permaculture Design.  

She is an avid surfer, and is an advocate for holistic health, wellness, conscious consumerism and environmental causes.  Sarah has traveled extensively, and has lived in Panama, Brazil, and various corners of the U.S.  She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. 

Sarah is an active member of ABMP - Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau - International Honor Society of Nursing.
